Broadcast Media Group wins big at “Rollin’ on da River”

STARKVILLE, MS (Feb. 22, 2011)—Broadcast Media Group of Starkville won six ADDY awards — including “Best of Show – Overall” and “Best in Show – Broadcast” — at the American Advertising Federation Mississippi Delta chapter’s annual awards celebration.
The awards were held Feb. 18 in Greenville.
“The Honey Brake Experience Intro,” a 60-second opening for the outdoor show airing on the Pursuit Network, took home gold in the Advertising for the Arts category. The project was also named as “Best of Show – Overall.”
The company also won a local TV gold ADDY for the “Happy Deas” commercial for West Point-based Quest Group and their client, Starkville Eye and Laser Center. The spot also was named “Best in Show – Broadcast.”
The 2011 football and basketball commercials produced for Mississippi State University were awarded a silver ADDY in the Local TV category. “The Place to Be,” a promotional spot produced for the Mississippi School for the Deaf and “Wide Open Spaces,” a TV commercial for Premier Health Group, took home silver ADDYs in the same category.
“Winning an ADDY is always an honor. Nabbing two ‘Best of Show’ awards is hard to describe,” Robbie Coblentz, Broadcast Media Group Executive Producer, said.
The entries move on to the regional competition, which will be held later this spring.
