Team

Robbie Coblentz – President/Executive Producer

RobbieHopeless Cubs, Mississippi State and Saints fan.  Dad of two. Loves to edit.

Robbie started Broadcast Media in 1996 as a weekend gig.  He took it full-time in 1997.

Four offices and countless boxes of SVHS, 3/4″, Betacam SP and DVCPro tape later, he is enjoying life as a high-paid, low stress production executive.

He thinks Citizen Kane is the greatest movie ever.  Seen U2 in concert 3 times.  Has a great wife who runs half marathons.

And he really does think the Cubs will win it all one day.

Laura Crum – Producer

“You’re a mean one, Mrs. Crum.” Weadonite. Recovering Avid editor.

Laura (or Mrs. Crum as she is sometimes called) hangs out in Edit B where she dispenses her special brand of editorial guidance.LauraCrum

Laura took an interest in video production at an early age that continued through high school and college.  A Mississippi State University graduate, she lives in Starkville with her husband.

Broadcast Media’s resident Weadonite, Laura enjoys watching old episodes of “Buffy” and singing along to “Doctor Horrible’s Sing Along Blog.” And though she started her career editing on Avid’s, she has come to love and accept Final Cut Pro.

Richie Davenport – Producer

Terror on the tennis courts.  Junior College Soccer (almost) All-Star.  History buff.

RichieFinding that he did not have expertise for on – air talent, Richie soon abandoned his dream of being a play-by-play announcer for the Atlanta Falcons.  A  growing interest in editing and producing – plus the need for a real “big boy” job – led him to darken the doors of BMG. After finishing a degree at MSU, he jumped into the wonderful world of video production head first.

Richie is the go-to guy with camera in hand.  He’s not half-bad in Edit A either.

He enjoys the creativity and freedom that comes with being a video producer/editor. (Plus the cool toys.)  Richie still has a great interest in sports, along with the outdoors. “I like every sport there is… expect for Cricket.”

Emilee Harris – Producer

Drummer.  Titans fan.  Lover of all things NASCAR.

Emilee originally came to Starkville to become a meteorologist. After finishing a degree in broadcast meteorology at Mississippi StateEmileeUniversity, she decided high pressure systems and record lows weren’t for her.

Back from a stint closer to home in Knoxville, she has shed all things orange to embrace her beloved maroon and white.  (Ask her about Phil Fulmer’s dry cleaning.)

Emilee is lead producer on BMG’s Christian Rock video show “Believe.”  (Not to be confused with Laura Crum’s award-winning “Believe” video.) She haunts Edit C, where she is the only producer with a window.

She hopes to one day drum like Keith Moon without living like Keith Moon.

Miles Donald – Intern in Public Relations

Senior at MSU. Spin doctor.  Economics prodigy.

Miles is the only staff member that has been confirmed to own a suit. He’s still trying make sense of the BMG zoo while getting the best on the job training available.

Nathan Leigh – Intern in Broadcasting

Junior at MSU.  Natchez-native.  Donut thief.

Nathan has kept coming back for advanced instruction.  Armed with a great attitude and desire to learn, Nathan appears to be cruising toward a low B in his internship due to donut larceny.
